Rice Price in Cipinang Market is Stable

The intensity of rainfall that occurred lately starts to affect the rice supply to Cipinang Rice Market, East Jakarta. Despite fluctuations, the price in the market tends to be stable and still within reasonable limits.

The current rice price is stable so far

PT Food Station Tjipinang Director, Arief Prasetyo Adi disclosed, the current rice price is relatively stable. Although it rises, it will be Rp 100 per kg. If it is compared to last month, the price hike was only one percent. But if it is compared to last year, it was only declining three percent. Fluctuations of rice price are deemed reasonable because of the weather and the harvest season.

"The current rice price is stable so far," he stated, Wednesday (10/5).

City Poverty Rate Declines

According to him, rice stock is currently 43 tons. It is still safe or still meet the food needs of citizens until the end of the year. Moreover, every day, the supply will continue to be supplied from local suppliers.

Ayong (52), a rice seller said rice price is very stable. "It is still deserted from buyer, perhaps it is due to rain season. But, indeed, it always happens after Eid ul Adha," he expressed.

He assessed, the rice sale has declined between 30-40 percent. The indication is, if the rice distributes 30 tons per day, but now it is only 20 tons.

Based on the data, rice price type IR 1 Rp 10,000 per kg, IR 2 Rp 8,800 per kg, IR 3 Rp 7,900 per kg and IR 42 Rp 10,800 per kg.
